Healthcare Providers / AI Modules

Clinical decision support where earlier decisions matter.

tcc AI Modules are medical device software designed to provide clinical decision support. They help healthcare professionals identify patients who may warrant further clinical attention and support more informed clinical decision-making.

From AI-generated risk prediction to score-based assessment, each module supports clinical decision-making as part of a comprehensive patient care strategy. Built on real-world healthcare data. Evidence-based. CE-marked Class IIa medical device software under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR).

Different clinical challenges require different forms of decision support.

tcc AI Modules

tcc develops dedicated modules for clearly defined use cases, ranging from AI-generated risk prediction to score-based assessment of physiological deterioration.

Technology is not the goal. Supporting healthcare professionals in making informed clinical decisions is.

Purpose built for real clinical decisions.

Each module addresses a specific clinical situation where relevant information can support clinical assessment and decision-making.

AI-generated prediction

Acute Kidney Injury: AKI Prediction Service

Provides healthcare professionals with an estimate of the probability of acute kidney injury up to 10 hours before clinical manifestation. The estimate is based on selected vital signs, medication, and laboratory data and supports informed clinical decision-making.

Validated performance: AUROC ≥ 80%

Sepsis Prediction Service

Provides healthcare professionals with an estimate of the probability of developing sepsis up to 10 hours before the qSOFA score reaches ≥ 2. The estimate is based on selected vital signs and supports informed clinical decision-making.

Validated performance: AUROC ≥ 80%

Score-based decision support module

Early Deterioration Service

Provides healthcare professionals with a deterioration score based on current vital signs and ventilation parameters. The score supports the earlier recognition and assessment of physiological deterioration in adult patients.

Built for clinical trust.

Medical decision support depends on evidence, regulatory compliance, and clinical relevance – not technology alone. tcc combines real-world healthcare data, medical expertise, and medical device development to build decision support for regulated clinical environments.

Real-World Healthcare Data

tcc develops its AI-generated prediction services using real-world healthcare data from clinical environments, supporting development that reflects real-world patient population and clinical conditions.

Clinical Evidence

Performance of the AI-generated prediction services is assessed using defined medical device performance criteria, including AUROC values ≥ 80% for applicable prediction services.

Class IIa Medical Device Software

The currently available tcc AI- and score-based clinical support modules are CE-marked Class IIa medical device software under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR).

Medical and Regulatory Expertise

Medical device software requires medical expertise, quality management, and regulatory competence throughout the product lifecycle.

tcc combines these disciplines to develop decision support for use in regulated healthcare environments.

IN CLINICAL PRACTICE: From clinical development to regulatory submission.

tcc and Netcare have collaborated for several years in the development and evaluation of medical device software and AI-based clinical decision support solutions. The collaboration provides valuable real-world experience in applying digital healthcare technologies within complex healthcare environments.

The partnership is now entering its next stage, with Netcare taking on a distribution role for selected tcc products in South Africa.
